My husband talked me into the new iPhone.
It is totally awesome. I love all the applications. My favorite is the Lose IT weight tracker counts calories, exercise, and weight, Pandora, Hoops baseball (for my 21 month old), Grocery IQ grocery list because I am a full time Mom and part time Photographer. The Grocery IQ makes me like so much easier. Plus unless I make lists and write everything down I have a hard time remembering .

Tip #1 - Get into it

The best way to great pictures is the model's (student's) attitude. If you're excited, it shows up on every shot. I've had really beautiful models that thought their looks would make great pictures, that usually doesn't work.

Some of my best photos are from people who can't wait to see their pictures.Attitude makes a huge difference.

Tip #2 - Be Yourself

While the photographer will help with posing, don't be afraid to try something different. Not every picture needs to be a big smile, they should reflect several aspects of you.

When asked to sit for a pose, sit naturally, the same as you would anywhere else.

Make yourself comfortable and it's OK to move around.

Tip #3 - Clothing & outfits

Worn-out blue jeans are very popular. They look great outdoors and are comfortable for the model.

Clothing: Bring your favorite skirt, pants and several tops. Solid colors usually work best. Earthy colors (brown,green) look really good outside.

Leather jackets can be worn or thrown across your shoulder for a more casual look.

Tip #4 - Be Different.

If you use the same photographer that everyone else does, you'll probably have similar pictures. Try finding a photographer that will compliment your tastes.

Be sure that your photographer will spend enough time with you to get the great portraits you deserve.

Try looking for something better.

Tip # 5- Jewelry & Accessories

Earrings, necklaces, bracelets , hats and other clothing accessories are great to have along.

They can be mixed with every outfit, giving some really unique pictures.

Dont' forget to bring your school jacket or sports items along.

Tip #6 Have Fun !

Hopefully you'll get a chance to use some of your own ideas during your senior photo session. Ask, don't be afraid to make suggestions.

You can also make a small scrapbook of pictures you like and try to have your photographer re-create it.

Getting the most during your photo session.

I want every customer to have great portraits, so we take time to listen to your idea's, discuss options, and help the seniors with posing. We schedule only 2 sessions / week to ensure quality.

After meeting at a site, we'll spend 1 hour, creating beautiful, on-location, modeling type images. My blog gives a good overview and offers tips about your session.

2 weeks ago I was hired to photograph this sweet, loving, caring family. Katie called me to photograph her Mother in-laws 60th Birthday party. I was thrilled to do that. It was fun to see so many people show up. Here is some quick photos of her and her Grandkids. They are all so adorable and sweet. And please look at how incredibly beautiful this woman is for 60. I mean I hope and pray I am that beautiful at that age. All I have to say is WOW!!!!!!

A few weeks ago I got the wonder experience of being hired from this really great couple. They hired me to photograph their friends babies as a surprise to the parents. What a sweet, loving, kindhearted act on their part. I was very blessed to be part of this. These babies are the cutest babies. I really had a hard time deciding which to edit & post. All of them came out sooo adorable!!!
I hope you all enjoy these sweet babies as much as I did.

Yesterday I met and worked with an amazing couple from the East Coast. They were such beautiful people inside and out. I had a wonderful time with them. At first it was a little awkward for them, but as we went through the shoot they became more relaxed.

I just told them to relax and have fun with it. In the end their incredible love for each other shined through. Plus they started having a lot of fun with the poses and became much more creative. I loved it!!!!! It was so much fun to watch them play around with new ideas. I think this photo shoot was one of my favorites so far. Romance to me is one of the most beautiful gifts. True love is hard to find....

Look in their eyes when you go through these shots and see how their love is just pouring out!!!
It made me miss my husband and want to be more romantic.

Lauren should defiantly go into modeling, she is really beautiful and has the body for it!!!
